| Senior Social Group awarded $9K Kaiser Permanente Grant...Our very successful Iu-Mien Senior Social Group, which meets every Wednesday from 9AM-12PM, recently received a $9,000.00 grant from the Kaiser Permanente foundation. Linda Lee, a Kaiser representative, recently visited the Senior Social Group to award the amount to the agency and its participants. With their continued support, the Senior Social Group will be funded for another calendar year.Without Kaiser's generous support, the 60-80 seniors who attend each week would have less support and resources. The seniors interact with a light breakfast, an exercise session, and monthly celebrations of brithdays and other special events. | Senior Social Group New Year 2009... The Senior Social Group will be celebrating their annual New Year on Saturday, February 14th, 2009. This wonderous event will be held at SMHA, 6000 Lemon Hill Avenue, Sacramento, CA from 9AM-1PM. Sacramento Mutual Housing Association has been a huge support in providing a place for our Iu Mien seniors to gather each week.
